Specialisms Courses

ESG in Alternative Investments focuses on the growth in ESG investing in private markets. It teaches investors how to identify, assess and incorporate material ESG factors in investment decision making, as well as looking at how to select, appoint and monitor external managers.

Modules are augmented by theoretical case studies that prompt critical thought. Videos, interactive exercises, free-text boxes, and test-your-understanding questions engage learners from start to finish.

Learners choose between two versions of the course, each with a different asset class-focused specialism:
1. Private equity and debt
2. Real estate and infrastructure

Regardless of the specialism chosen, learners receive access to the two other asset class modules as optional further reading upon completion of the core course. The optional modules will not be covered in the final assessment. After successfully finishing the course and passing the assessment, users will be awarded an industry recognised certificate of completion, issued by the PRI.

Nature and Biodiversity for Investors is a thematically focused course addressing the critical issue of biodiversity loss and its implications for the investment industry.

The course covers essential biodiversity concepts, methods for assessing nature-related risks and opportunities, and strategies for implementing effective biodiversity policies, with a strong emphasis on practical application in line with emerging industry frameworks and standards.

Having completed this course, participants will be equipped to understand, help shape, and implement organisation strategies to integrate nature and biodiversity-related considerations into investment decisions and stewardship activities.

After successfully completing the course and passing the assessment, learners are awarded an industry-recognised certificate of completion from the PRI, along with a digital badge to showcase their achievement.
